ATRON at the IT-TRANS 2024
This year, the ATRON Group is dedicating its exhibition at IT-TRANS entirely to the theme "ATRON CONNECTS." Centered around this theme is the evolution of the ATRON Transport Control System (ATCS).
The focal point of this year's exhibition is the ATRON Transport Control System (ATCS). Since the introduction of the latest generation in 2019, the systems have been continuously adapted and enhanced to meet the requirements of transit operators. In the latest evolution stage, integration of the current VDV 453/454 standard and Voice-over-IP have been implemented. This has significantly improved data exchange between systems and communication between vehicles and control centers. Furthermore, system configuration and maintenance have been revised to be more flexible and user-friendly. A unique feature is the newly implemented "Bottleneck Planning." On single-track or narrow sections, encounters between two large vehicles are prevented, even in the event of spontaneous schedule delays. Further innovations will follow throughout the year. This includes real-time display of occupancy rates, enabling precise monitoring of vehicle utilization for effective resource planning within the control center. Additionally, a function for predictive planning and action-taking is set to go live in the second half of the year. This function will significantly reduce response time to emerging disruptions. With these and other extensive enhancements to the ATRON Transport Control System, ATRON reaffirms its leading role as a supplier of efficient tools for professional control centers.
Another highlight at the booth is the compact and feature-rich cashless ticket vending machine, AFA 150. The easy and fast payment via the integrated EMV reader (Europay, Mastercard, Visa) enhances passenger convenience, spares transit operators the burdensome cash handling, and relieves drivers from cumbersome ticket sales. Tickets can be issued either electronically or on paper.
As a more compact variant of a sales device, the new ATRON Validator ACT 420 complements the E-Ticketing portfolio. This solution can be used for both entry control and the sale of E-Tickets. The state-of-the-art validator generation swiftly and reliably reads contactless E-Ticket chip cards, EMV cards, smartphones, and token tickets according to various standards.
Interested parties can now request free admission tickets for a visit to the exhibition at it-trans.atron.com. The ATRON exhibition team is looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors to stand V5 in the dm-arena.
