The Harz region relies on ATRON
ATRON electronic GmbH (ATRON) has received an order from Harzer Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH (HVB) and Halberstädter Verkehrs-GmbH (HVG) to supply a complete system including on-board computers and validators. In addition, ID-based ticketing (account-based ticketing) and ticketing in accordance with VDV-KA are to be implemented.
With the order in May 2024, HVB, HVG and ATRON are continuing their long-standing successful cooperation. On the software side, in addition to the expansion of the sales background system, digitalization is also being driven forward, for example in the area of student administration, LSA control and timetable management. The connection to the ITCS of Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt (NASA) will be established via a new air interface.
With the delivery of over 180 ATRON vehicle computers of the current AFR 5 generation, the driver workstations in the buses and streetcars will also be brought up to date. In addition, over 200 ACT 420 terminals will be installed in the vehicles for uncomplicated ticket purchasing and fast check-in. In addition to the traditional payment methods, the terminals will also enable the purchase of tickets via ID-based and account-based ticketing. Passengers can thus benefit from modern new ticketing solutions.
“We are delighted to be able to continue our long-standing partnership with HVB and HVG. We are happy to contribute to making public transport in the Harz region even more modern, efficient and customer-friendly,” says Alexander Giegerich, Head of Sales & Marketing at the ATRON Group.
